access to viewing. Once a user has been added to the system he/she will have the ability to
login to view live and recorded video. Adding a new user to the VMS server shall consist of
creating a username, password and group access level (also know as privileges or access
rights). Users shall be assigned to one of four groups that have different level of access to
system features. The four group access levels are:
1. Administrator: Has access to all features of the system.
2. Power User: Has access to all features except adding or deleting users.
3. User Admin: Has access to viewing live video, searching recorded video and
the ability to add and delete users.
4. Restricted: Has access to viewing live video and searching recorded video.
2.03 HYBRID NETWORK VIDEO RECORDER HARDWARE FEATURES
A. The ivtVision Hybrid server hardware shall be capable of running either the Microsoft XP Pro or
Linux operating systems.
B. The ivtVision Hybrid NVR server shall be capable of simultaneously recording, displaying and
playing back digitized video from analog and IP cameras. Models shall be available with 4, 16
and 32 analog inputs. 8 IP camera licenses shall be included in the base price of the system at
no additional cost. IP camera licenses shall be expandable to 64 licenses.
C. The ivtVision Hybrid server shall have recording resolutions of CIF, 2CIF, and D1 and shall be
user selectable for each individual analog camera attached to the server. Standard resolution
and high resolution mega-pixel IP cameras shall also be selectable. MPEG-4 ASP or MJPEG
video compression format shall be user selectable on any camera. Video recording shall be
available at up to 30 images per second per input channel depending on IP camera type and
server model selected.
D. The ivtVision Hybrid server shall have video outputs for multi-monitor and spot monitors touring
(switching) between analog camera video in either full, quad (2 x 2), 3 x 3, and 4 x 4 screen
display modes.
The ivtVision Hybrid Server shall be capable of recording line level audio, with synchronous
video playback as well as playing live audio from any single audio channel selected.
E. Each ivtVision Hybrid Server shall have TTL alarm inputs, TTL alarm outputs and a relay output.
F. Each ivtVision Hybrid Server shall have RS485/422/232 serial port capabilities to communicate
with serial devices such as point of sale (POS) terminals and automated teller machines (ATM).
Once the serial device is connected to the serial port with a cable the serial port shall be
configured. Transaction data shall be received from each serial device into a text database and
associated with recorded video. User shall be able to search transaction data to locate the
associated video.
G. Each ivtVision Hybrid Server shall have a RS485/422/232 serial port capable of communicating
with pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras.
H. Each ivtVision Hybrid Server shall have a 1Gbit 1000Base T RJ-45 Ethernet connection for
networking to Remote PC ivtVision Clients. Multiple servers shall be accessible by multiple
clients located anywhere on the network. Each server shall record video, audio, and text while
displaying live video or playback video. In the event that there is no client actively attached to the
server, the server shall continue to record video and audio, monitor events and all other server
functions.
